Nestled conveniently in Newbury Park, CA, Conejo Coffee offers a warm and inviting haven for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike. This charming coffee shop crafts a carefully curated menu that balances bold, rich flavors with fresh, healthful ingredients, making it a go-to destination for those seeking both comfort and quality in every bite and sip.
Their beverage lineup boasts standout favorites like the perfectly chilled Iced Coffee and the indulgently smooth Iced Caramel Macchiato, both of which capture the essence of expertly brewed coffee with a refreshing twist. Patrons also rave about the unique café de olla, with one visitor calling it the "second best cup" they've ever had, which speaks volumes about the care put into their craft.
Complementing the drinks is an enticing selection of thoughtfully prepared toasts that elevate your typical coffee shop fare. The Salmon Avocado Toast is a masterpiece of flavors and textures: buttery sourdough topped with silky avocado, delicately smoked salmon, a drizzle of lemon olive oil, and a sprinkling of feta cheese and everything-but-the-bagel seasoning that adds just the right amount of savory zip. For those craving a sweet twist, the Strawberry & Banana Nutella Toast melts in your mouth with layers of creamy Nutella, fresh fruit, and a dusting of powdered sugar — a playful balance of indulgence and fruitiness.
Healthier options like the vibrant Acai Bowl and savory Cherry Tomato Olive Oil and Balsamic Toast reflect the café’s commitment to fresh, clean ingredients that nourish as much as they delight. Quick snacks such as biscotti, oatmeal from Mylk Labs, and protein bars are available as perfect companions to your coffee, suiting those on the go without sacrificing quality.
Beyond the menu, Conejo Coffee’s atmosphere adds a layer of charm to the experience. Whether you’re nestled inside the cozy, intimate seating or embracing the outdoors on their shaded patio — a peaceful spot enhanced by a soothing water feature — the ambiance invites you to slow down, savor your coffee, and soak in the relaxation. As one customer beautifully put it, it’s “so nice to sit next to when I’m reading,” a testament to the calming vibe that sets Conejo Coffee apart from typical coffee stops.
Friendly and attentive staff bring an authentic, community-focused spirit to your visit. They keep their display case freshly stocked with grab-and-go options like overnight oats, chia with fruit, and parfaits — always fresh and ready to fuel your day. Their dedication to quality extends beyond the cup and plate, crafting a welcoming environment where you can feel genuinely valued.
Whether you are seeking a revitalizing morning boost, a cozy afternoon retreat, or a nourishing bite paired with expertly brewed coffee, Conejo Coffee is a standout in Ventura County that promises a memorable, satisfying experience. With its inviting blend of tasty, fresh offerings and a genuine community vibe, this coffee shop is truly a hidden gem well worth discovering.
We’ve been here a few times now. The staff is kind and efficient, and their food and drinks are excellent. They carry packages of coffee beans, some grab and go options from their display case (overnight oats, chia with fruit, parfaits). They are constantly preparing and restocking those items to stay fresh. Their bakery items are kept wrapped in the display which is nice, they’re fresh. Their smoothies are not too sweet, and their food is well portioned. We are a family of 2.5 and spend around 27-35 for breakfast with drinks for all of us and leave feeling full. They have seating in the back of the store as well as a couple of tables in front and 8 seats/4 tables in the front area outside. We’ve always passed by this place, literally for years because the setting feels lackluster, but it’s cute and we sit in the front patio often and have no issue with noise, etc.
Such a great place to stop at. First off, my order came out very promptly. Delicious coffee, I had gotten a cafe de olla and this is the second best cup I've had! Their chorizo burrito was flavorful. Cozy but small seating. The water feature is very relaxing, and it's so nice to sit next to when I'm reading. Overall, a great place on this side of Ventura County.
We stumbled across Conejo Coffee on our first trip to Thousand Oaks, and wow—I’m so glad we did. A quick search for “coffee shops near me” totally paid off because this place was way better than hotel coffee for breakfast. I went with the iced Café de Olla and a chorizo burrito, and my wife had the Mazapán iced coffee with avocado toast. Both were delicious! We sat outside on the shaded patio, which was perfect for a cool Saturday morning. This is definitely a spot I’d come back to again and again whenever we’re in Thousand Oaks. Cozy, tasty, and such a great vibe.
This is a lovely local coffeeshop with good quality coffee and food. They have the best croissants and espresso drinks and many more fresh drinks and quick/healthy options for lunch and breakfast. The staff are super friendly and really care about the community. Atmosphere is nice and relaxing, Highly recommend this coffeeshop.
The lavender latte is to die for, even though it is an extra dollar for lavender to be added. I have had several different breakfast dishes here, the most recent being the Conejo Loco Bowl. I ordered it minus the Everything Seasoning. It was quite yummy, but next time I will order it without the cheese. There may have been a half a cup of cheese or more over the whole top of it, making it difficult to see what was under the cheese.. I ended up taking many bites of only cheese and potatoes for quite a while before I found the sausage and eggs. The atmosphere is delightful and the service is amazing, I keep going back!
Came here for a quick breakfast before a hike. This was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The location is great…close to the freeway, Target and other shops. It’s a bit easy to miss because it’s in a small strip mall across from the big Target shopping complex. When we arrived around 9:30 there was someone in line and a handful of people seated enjoying their coffees and food. The menu offered some good choices and we both decided to order the avocado toast. We had plenty of coffee beforehand so we opted not to get a coffee, or beverage. Our order took about 10 minutes to make. After ordering, a steady stream of people came in so it did get busier. When our food arrived it was served on a plastic plate which isn’t a big deal other than it slipped easily on the table when we went to cut our food. So for the toast….it was a large piece of sourdough piled high with lots of fresh, mashed avocado, fresh arugula, a handful of halved cherry tomatoes and drizzled with a balsamic glaze. It came with a side of fresh fruit that included cantaloupe and honeydew. The toast was delicious! We both ate every bite! It was $13/piece and we thought it was a fair price considering the size and quality. My review is limited considering that I only tried the avocado toast. However, I liked the vibe and the offerings so I will be back to try more. Bet that you’ll find another review when I do so :)
Super cute & clean place, super nice & attentive staff, and super yummy coffee & food. My new go-to for a quick nibble and a cup; especially with how quick they are! I never leave feeling disappointed
